The retirement village on the banks of the Murray River has marked a major milestone, celebrating 25 years since the first homes and community clubhouse were completed.
What began as a stage of just 45 lots has grown into a thriving village of 243 homes, now home to around 340 residents in the small town in the Peel region of Western Australia.
To celebrate, Lakeside by Teman Ravenswood residents gathered by the lake on a stunning sunny day, with music from 25 years ago floating through the air, delicious food, and an array of birthday cakes to mark the occasion. Managing Director Jamie Sterland and Dougal Bryant, Finance and Operations Manager, flew in to celebrate with residents.
Special mention was made of six long-standing residents who have been part of the community since the beginning (or close to it): Amy, Fleur, Lesley, Patrick, Jacy, and Ron.
As the afternoon rolled on, there was plenty of laughter, storytelling, and a strong sense of pride in how far the village has come.
The event was a wonderful reminder of the friendships, fun, and shared history that make Lakeside by Teman such a special place to call home.
This why retirement villages and land lease communities are popular.
