Clients of Perth-based Not For Profit home and disability care provider Community Vision have received an early Christmas present in the form of two triobike taxis.

The triobikes, funded by the State Government through the efforts of Emily Hamilton MLA, Member for Joondalup, will let support workers take home care clients on fresh-air rides through Perth’s suburbs. Each seats two people, with two-point seatbelts keeping them securely strapped in – plus, of course, the hardworking rider at the back.

Community Vision’s Chief Operating Officer Yvonne Timson says the triobikes will give care recipients an opportunity for experiences they hadn’t been able to have before.

For some of our customers, the chance to ride a bike again is a wonderful experience, both for them and our Support Workers.

“Some of these simpler things in life we can take for granted. For our customers it will get them up and out and into the fresh air. We are so grateful for all the support that Emily provides us, this one being a brilliant early Christmas gift,” she said.

Community Vision will incorporate the bike rides into its regular services offered to clients.
